Also at Family Martial Arts……
Watch the newsletter for upcoming seminars, hosted by Hanshi Disney’s Family Martial Arts. Upcoming events include the likes of Sifu Andy Woods, Renshi Rick Shelton, Soke Sonny Barker and the “Famous” Dr. Tom Manson. I wonder if the Infamous Uke Supreme will be present? Pre-registrations are recommended for these seminars, so contact Hanshi Disney, or keep your eyes peeled for future listings.

The wait is over. Finally, the publication, “Chopsticks & Applesauce” First Steps Toward Acquiring An Unfettered Mind is complete. My sources tell me that the book is a “must read” and “once you start reading, you just can’t put it down.” Most all of the folks in R.D.’s life who hold the title of at least Black Belt are either mentioned by name or by reputation in the closing chapters. Go to www.booksurge.com, search by author, and order your copy today. With enough determination, you may even get your copy autographed the next time you see the author.

Cody Grey earns a Shodan Rank

Hanshi Connie Arrington is pleased to announce the promotion of Cody Grey to the rank of Shodan. Cody is the son of Karen and Tony Grey of Jackson. He has served as one of Hanshi Arrington’s assistant instructors and was recently inducted into the AJRMAU Hall of Fame in Columbus as “MOST DEDICATED MARTIAL ARTIST OF THE YEAR”.
Cody received this award for having successfully completed the requirements of time spent training, as well as, the physical and mental skills that are necessary to achieve the Dan Rank. Good Job CODY!!!!!!!
Striking Cobra School of Tae Kwon Do,taught by Hanshi, has been asked to perform a demo at the Jackson County Apple Festival. This is a great honor for the school and they work very hard to prepare for this event. They must be AWESOME, because this is the 3rd year in a row.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE DEMO TEAM MEMBERS!
LOOK UP
Many times in our lives we face trials that seem to great to bear on our own. We struggle to make it through, but we just “can’t see the forest for the trees”.
Ponder this…..

“A bumblebee, if dropped into an open tumbler, will be there until it dies, unless it is taken out. It never sees the means of escape at the top, but persistes in trying to find some way out through the sides near the bottom. It will seek a way where none exsists, until it completely destroys itself.”
Like the bumblebee, we never can seem to find an escape. Believe it not, it was always there. All you have to do is … Look Up.
